Meet the coaches that bring our softball family together both on and off the field, making our Royals experience possible. Our coaches integrate with all the teams at practices so teams get a mix of influences.
Dave Darby
14A – HEAD COACH
With over 18 years coaching experience, Dave pushes players to be excellent—not perfect. He breaks down concepts with unique insights into the game and has creative methods for helping players understand and slow the game.

18A – HEAD COACH
Richie has coached softball for four years and really cares about his team and their families. With a love for improvement, he continually sharpens his skills and those of his team.

Lauren Darby
18A - Assistant COACH
Lauren is the Royals first ‘retiree’! She’s growing into an amazing coach because she’s fresh off the field and has a wealth of knowledge of the game to pass along to the girls. They love having her input and validation and really shine with her mentoring.
Nicole Darby
PITCHING COACH
Nicole has recently retired from the game after 7 years of playing competitive ball, giving her an immense amount of knowledge of the game to share with the upcoming generation of young athletes.
